Its so hard to get little kids to tell you about their day.

Over dinner, we started to play “high, low, buffalo.” They share their "high" moment, "low" moment and then their "buffalo" moment which is when something interesting, surprising or unique happened.

Our company navigates the highs and lows of life, but joyfully seeks out and celebrates the “buffalo” moments and aspects, specifically within architecture.

high, low, buffalo was founded by Adam Wagoner in 2023 as a platform to discover, create and share meaningful and profound architecture.

  • Hi I’m Adam.

I am an architect. I am married to an architect (Rebekah), have two young kids (who will probably grow up to be architects) and have a scruffy black dog (who dresses in all black like an architect).

I have two architectural degrees (from Kansas State University and Yale University) and have worked for a dozen different firms in three different countries (Tatiana Bilbao Estudio, Kaan Architecten, Pelli Clarke & Partners, Open Studio Architecture and 359 Design to name a few). However, since 2016, Colorado has been my home.

I started a podcast in 2020 to discover good stories and build a stronger design community in Colorado. I am passionate about bringing people together and learning new things.

I am constantly pushing to improve, grow and find beauty and meaning through Architecture (this is the fourth iteration of starting an architecture firm, ask me more about that later). Most recently, I co-founded the architecture firm called Further, but now I’m nearer to something else.
